05/12/2005: "Tribute to The Play"

Last night my wife and I watched the movie 'Forrest Gump'. I forgot how much I liked that movie. One of the many scenes I had forgotten was the first football sequence when he runs for a touchdown and just keeps running through the endzone and takes out a couple band members.

There is no question that was a tribute to The Play. It was even a trombone player who took the direct hit. Got to love it!

I dunno Ken...
I just watched it again myself last night... and I really doubt your tribute to the play theory regarding Forest Gump's touchdown. This may have been more of a case of a "wouldn't it be funny if he did ..." The rationale I have for that is that it's not as funny *as* the play
